ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP): The Senate session was adjourned on Monday by presiding officer Irfan-ul-Haque Si
ddiqui due to a lack of quorum, with proceedings set to resume Thursday at 4:30 pm.
The quorum was pointed out twice after Maghrib prayers break.
Initially, just a few minutes after the resumption of proceedings, presiding officer Si
ddiqui declared the house in order following a count. However, shortly afterward, quorum was raised again, and Si
ddiqui adjourned the session, declaring the house out of order.
Earlier, Participating in debate on Nov 26 incidents, Saifullah Abro of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called for a thorough investigation into the incidents.
Khalil Tahir of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) criticized PTI for its flawed approach, while Zeeshan Khanzada of PTI questioned the accountability for the November 26 incidents. He criticized election tribunals for failing to resolve election-related disputes despite the passage of 10 months since the general elections.
